Each time I read one of these books my husband gives me the “good lord you’re a dirty pervert” look and asks why I’m reading werewolf porn instead of a "real" book. Because duh, that’s why:Werewolves are hot. Period. The rational, intelligent part of my brain knows I shouldn’t like reading these books – I mean the characters have ongoing dialogue with their “inner wolves” for Christ's sake. It’s laughable . . . and I can’t get enough. This series is my guilty pleasure and I have no problem admitting it.

I was gifted a copy of this latest book in the Law of the Lycans series for a fair and honest review.I was eagerly awaiting this latest book as I couldn't imagine where the series was going next. Having come to know and love all of the characters it was almost like waiting for that long awaited letter home from a loved one.Damien is at first glance cold, tough and uncaring. Hidden behind his cold exterior is a heart that has been crushed and love is something he feels is best left in the past. Will things change when a new woman comes on the scene?Enter Sam. Not your typical pretty girl but rather a woman who has things to prove to others seemingly without any apologies or excuses. Her life is hard and living isn't easy. Love is in short supply in her life but she knows her place so gives it little thought.Telling you more would rob you of an amazing reading experience. I will allow you to travel with them through darkness, need, history and longing.Picking up this book you will want to devour it in one reading. Perhaps you will even do as I did and not put the book down. Reading throughout the night with your emotions moving quickly and deeply. Tears one moment and laughing out loud to yourself the next. The emotional roller coaster consumes you and drags you ever deeper.A must read - no doubt - an easy five stars - Nicky Charles once again shows that she is one very talented writer who can bring characters to light, even when they prefer to hide in the darkness.

This gets 4.5 stars from me for being entertaining even though it did not push over the top. The characters are interesting and defined for the most part with only a few being vague outlines without a real personality. For anyone who has read the previous books in the series you will be caught up right away with what is going on here since it has only been a short time since the action in the last. The story is somewhat predictable, which is to be expected, but it still plays out perfectly and with a few surprises. After everything that happened in Chicago Kane Sinclair has decided that he would like to take over the Chicago pack because it does not seem to be being run well. Samantha Harper, who has been illegally acting as the Alpha of the pack definitely does not agree with Kane. She thinks he is arrogant and if he had not used the Finding to take the Greyson heir for his pack then she would not have as many problems. Kane sends his friend Damien, who had previously been a rogue being hunted by Lycan Link for various crimes, to get any information on the pack that might help with his takeover. Sam for her part is expecting a spy and tries to hire a rogue to play the part of Beta in order to fool Lycan Link into thinking her pack is growing. But things get crossed and they end up working together but still at odds, though only one of them knows that. The romance is nice and develops at a nice pace that does not seem super rushed. The way things go from one locale to the other is smooth and allows for keeping up with the other characters from previous books. This is the perfect blend of romance and angst.

I was given complimentary copy of Road to Redemption for an honest review and it is my pleasure to give one so here it is. Nicky Charles proves to us again that she is a talented writer with a devotion to giving her fans lovable, sexy and very real characters. You wont be able to put this book down once you begin. From fight scenes to steamy love scenes, arguments to reconciliation. There are spy's, werewolves and a psychedelic witch all conspiring to keep your eyes glued to the pages. The story spans the American continent and even has you visiting Canada. The roller-coaster of emotion that Nicky portrays in the 6th book of the Law Of The Lycans will have you angry at the arrogance of revisited characters but your heart breaking as the emotional road Damien and Sam journey gets more challenging. I love it when a book makes me laugh out loud, curse or even cry. This book did all three and much more. My heart pounded as Sam stood waiting to prove her strength and loyalty. I held my breath when Damien walked away not noticing the gift Sam had given him.The story twist and turns into a fierce conclusion. The plot keep you guessing right to the end of the book...... and beyond.

didn't like the story much....not that good as the earlier ones......loose plot!!......no "what would happen next" feeling......the dilemma was just too much and even the passion between damien and sam was not completely explored...disappointed

Actually 3.75starsThree years hasn't lessened the pain, though the nightmares aren't as frequent, they are as debilitating. Still emotionally and mentally healing from the fire that took his family, Damien Masterson, agrees to an assignment for Kane. The assignment: Investigate the Chicago pack and report back the best way to absorb them. Acting Alpha Sam Harper has been running the pack since her grandfather really isn't in any shape. Hiring an experienced rogue to temporarily act as beta to her alpha seems to be a good idea to send Kane's representative back north with his tail between his legs when he shows up. Circumstances change and Damien's assignment becomes an infiltration assignment instead. There's one small problem. Both Damien and Sam are looking at each other as potential mates. Damien won't let go of his memories of Beth ad Sam doesn't understand why.Helping to beef up the story is rogue, Dante Esparza. Damien's bringing all those things bad element to the party by blackmailing everyone he can, bullying and fighting those he can and evading Damien when it suits him. Kane and Elise have issues over the amount of time they aren't spending together and life in the Chicago pack.I liked but didn't love this outing for at least half the read. I was as exhausted as Elise going through their discord. The Chicago pack life was just filler for my taste and Dante did a successful jack-in-the box the way he kept popping up to torment his victims. Damien is a favorite for this reader and I wanted him back. I understood his melancholy but wanted him to get over it already. I liked Sam and loved Damien and could have liked them together but I didn't necessarily buy their chemistry. It felt more like a lack of possibilities than a true draw. Given the givens there was only one path for this read though the additional threads were used to their advantage to try to give the read additional focus.

Nicky Charles does it again! Betrayed is simply amazing, with its wonderful characters and its raw emotional scenes. Nicky creates a story that is hard to not fall in love with. The love you feel for these characters is almost tangible. When they hurt you hurt, they evoke raw emotions in the most beautiful way. Damien has suffered a heartache that would have destroyed anyone, he was broken and Sam is exactly what he needed. They are the quintessential pair. This story is perfect, it is filled with sexy werewolves, action, adventure, love, and surprises. I look forward to every book Nicky writes, I am a lifetime fan!

I was gifted with a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review and I can honestly say, this book was awesome!! I have a particular love for the Law of the Lycans series because The Mating was the first ebook I ever read and each book is better than the last. Nicky Charles never fails to make you feel for her characters... there is humor, heartache... I even got angry at them more than one time. She gives you a hero that is a rough, rugged and tortured soul and a heroine that has strength and the heart to accept him as he is.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review. I have read all the Lycan Law books and I'm a big fan of Nicky Charles. The Road continues with Damien's Story and his encounter with the Chicago pack and it's Alpha. i enjoyed the book immensely! Nicky has created characters that I've grown to love and Damien is one of them. A rogue, a man in who loses everything he holds dear, what happens when he meets the Alpha from the Chicago pack? I recommend you read The Road To Redemption, you will laugh and you will cry and you will find that Nicky Charles is an amazing writer!

This was another good read. This time the main focus of the book is Damien and we get to see how much torment he is in over the death of Beth, three years earlier. Dante aka Salazar, another one of Deirdre's rogue team puts in an appearance as does Elijah Stone. It was good to have Kane, Elise and Reno back for a time too

Head held high and confident stride. Alley fighter? Wicked right hook. Beautiful unusual eye color. Teeny weeny she-wolf. Her speed and agility making up for what she lacked in size and muscle. Alpha shows no weaknesses, a mantra repeated . Not what he pictured, a demure looking woman holding a clipboard wearing glasses but what he got, a stiletto heel spiked hair leather jacket wearing biker chick. Picture that in your mind, add muscles not bulging but enough to be notice. Even wore boots around the house cause she needed the extra height to make a point with him.His bike matched him perfectly, big and Powerful. Older model but engine purred like a well maintained machine. His body gorgeous, muscular chest and abs, lean hip and long legs. Dark hair, high cheek bones and just dreamy. Silvery blue eyes but empty with an atitude "I don't give a damn if I live or die. There's a dangerous aura about him. A Rogue? No wait .... Enforcer....Drifter.... someone who wants to ease the pain in his heart. A scene invades his dream, smoke blur his vision stinging his eyes, Fire. . .A serious issue arises now Sam needs help getting Kane Sinclair off her back and stop him from trying to take over her pack or is it her pack? Pack of what? Werewolves. Sam seeks the help of a rogue and this is where Damien comes into the picture. I can't help but finally breathe a sigh of relief. I waited so long to see Damien get his own story, because usually he makes an appearance in the past stories and always the tough rogue down and out but manage to help save someone or make himself undeserved to love or to be loved. His wallowing and remorse because he lived, is down right sad. Drifting around the county in a melancholy state, living in rat holes and trying to ease his pain. But this book made me smile because he finally gets to star in it and make this story his own. Guess who meets his match by surprise, aha! Teeny weeny Sam. You will cheer for her, you will admire her, you will laugh and feel all the emotions for her, why? Because she is a tough cookie who has the world on her shoulder, an entire wolve pack resting on her every decision. She carries a huge responsiblity to her pack. How did it get that way? You need to read this awesome story to find out.Damien exchanges wits and banters with Sam and I feel the electricity in this story. I feel his stubborness and her stubborness, match made in heaven, read the story to find out. She was more of the aggressor of course, she's the Alpha or should we say Alpha in the making. Trained and indoctrinated by her grandfather, Samuel Harper the Alpha of the Chicago pack.A character enters, Lilac smelling man, Dante the one and only sleazeball. Hustler and blackmailer disgusting piece of work and a thorn to Damien's side and a thorn to Sam Harper's side, no a thorn to Samantha Harper, wait a minute ..... a thorn to everyone who comes in contact with him. He is the cause people pop those antacids. Well back to Damien, I wanted to pull my hair out because Damien, geez he needed to snap out of his funk, hey I'm not knocking the whole grieving process but no one deserve to live a life of misery like he was experiencing and continue to experience. Everytime he felt anykind of feelings, Damien bust that bubble real fast. A miscommunication, a message totally taken out of content, okay where am I going with this? Read the book. Samantha aka Sam, I admired her so much because whatever was dished out to her, Sam dust herself off and handle the problem head on. Broken hearted and questioning her sexuality, now I'm pissed at Damien only for a short while though. Why? Damien is torn and he needs intervention of some kind. Does it magically appears if any? Well read the book. I enjoyed the author's writing from way back when, I read all her books and each time I finish one I am spent. Adult theme but to me I like the story, the plot and the characters Nicky Charles chooses. Each character is strong and so much like a man should be with the chauvinistic mentally, I know what you're thinking, chauvinistic? Yes, I said it :-) But the funny thing Sam showed Damien her chauvinistic side and it was a breath of fresh air and hilarious to read. Yes, this teeny weeny thing stood up to big bad wolves. The women and their family are so loved and protected and the loyalty transcend thoughout. So with this I end my review, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it's about time, Damien! Great book Nicky Charles!!! Thank you, Darlene Cruz

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review of the story, and I have to say YES, PLEASE!I've been a longstanding fan of Nicky Charles' books. In fact, her stories, along with S.C. Stephens and a few others, were the catalyst to my returning reading obsession many years ago. And I've never turned back. The Mating, The Finding, The Keeping, Bonded and Betrayed: Days of the Rogue are the first in The Law of the Lycan series. All five books have high marks in my standards. There's action, suspense and a load of romance to sweeten the deal. The story in the whole is beautiful with deep angst, great subplots and drool worthy alpha males.Betrayed, Book Two: The Road to Redemption is Damien Masterson's story. We first met him in Bonded, he was the young, cocky partner of Reno Smith while working for Lycan Link. He also got a spotlight in Betrayed: Days of the Rogue where we see him struggle just to survive waking up and make it a single day with a semi lucid grasp on sanity. Damien is struggling with his past. While working with Lycan Link, an organized group of Lycans with one common goal of keeping order and upholding the Book of the Law, he brushed hairs with purist groups hell bent on keeping their lineage "pure" and lost his blood bonded mate and unborn pup in a tragic explosion. The pain from it all caused Damien to retract into himself and his wolf take over, turning his back on his friends and the Lycan Link. The Road to Redemption starts where "Days" left off.In "Road", he's helping a friend and Alpha for another pack by going undercover to scope out possibilities for a takeover. While doing so, he meets up with Sam; an independent, spirited and young acting Alpha for the Chicago pack. Little does Damien know, he will learn a lot more about Sam and her pack than financial statistics and the steady decline in their genetic pool. With other worries besides Kane Sinclair's impending take over looming over the Chicago pack's head, Damien is forced to face his inner demons and choose a new path in his life. Will his wolf and his human side come to an agreement in life and new love? Will Beth stand in his way of a fresh start?New characters as well as twists and turns no one saw coming are sure to keep you flipping pages. Betrayal, lust and dangerous personalities are definitely in there as well. Nicky Charles does it again, pulling her reader in from the very first sentence and not letting go until the last page. An EXCELLENT edition to the already FANTASTIC series of Lycans and the law and love they live by.Fair warning: You WILL have a book hangover when finished reading!

If you've never read a Nicky Charles book, you are truly missing out on an incredible world. Start with The Mating for release date order, or start with Bonded for chronological story order. The first five e-books in the series are free. Don't complain about this one costing a couple dollars. It's WORTH IT! For those who have complained, I challenge you to find better quality for the price. I rank her writing up there with the likes of S.C. Stephens, Lara Adrian, Cherise Sinclair, any day. Those authors are getting a lot more for their books. Just something to keep in mind. As we were fed bits and pieces of Damien's story in the last two books, this sexy rogue captured my heart and kept me on the edge of my seat wondering how his life would turn out. How would he ever manage to love again after losing the love of a lifetime? Enter a feisty female Alpha with a lot to prove and a lot still to learn. Sam is about to knock Damien on his ass (literally) and weasel her way right into his heart whether he likes it or not. I love the way Nicky makes you think about the possibilities from all angles for her characters. Nobody gets under my skin quite like she does. I feel what the characters feel and laugh and cry right along with them. At times I want to strangle them, but mostly with Damien, I just wanted to hug him and encourage him to grieve but still let go and move on with life. It is possible to love again without forgetting the love of your first mate. I wondered how Nicky would handle his letting Beth go and was not disappointed in the least. It wasn't at all what I expected, but so glad he found his way. In the end, we get the expected HEA, but not necessarily the perfect little bow on top of the gift. Life is never full of certainty and there is a lot of life left to live for Damien and Sam. There were a lot of surprises in this journey and it kept me glued to the pages in spite of my determination to NOT read this one all in one sitting. I set out to take my time and still ended up unable to put it down once I got started reading in earnest. I think I lose more sleep with this author than any other! Looking forward to a second read and probably at least a third or fourth! Six out of a possible Five Stars!!

Betrayed: Book two – The Road to Redemption (Law of the Lycans series)Having enjoyed the previous 5 books written by Nicky Charles, I was pleased to see this 6th addition to the Law of the Lycan series hit the screen. The story of Damien and Sam carries on from The Finding. Sam hires a Rogue ‘Dante’ to help her sniff out Kane Sinclair’s spy that he has sent to obtain any info that will help him in his takeover bid of the Chicago pack and Sam will do anything to stop Kane and protect her pack. What Sam didn’t bargain for was Damien – she feels a desire and a connection for him, though she firmly puts him in his place as the acting packs Beta. Damien certainly didn’t see Sam coming either – their first encounter nearly knocked him on his butt. Damien takes up the post of Beta, realising that this was the best way to get in the pack and pretends to be Dante.Damien has his love and guilt for Beth and finds that his feelings and emotions for Sam are conflicting with his heart and his head. He feels guilty for caring for Sam and getting attached to the pack.Sam tries to learn much from Damien and also makes a play for his heart. She finds it hard that Damien is forever running hot and cold, though she tries not to give up.Dante on the other hand is running around Chicago blackmailing and scheming trying to rob money of whoever he can, including Damien who took his place for the Beta job in Sam’s pack. Is it Dante that Damien thinks is spying on him?The book is true to its name, there is betrayal, lies and truths that are uncovered. It has its romance, passion, heart ache and pain and letting go of the past to try and build futures and bonds. This book has lots to keep the reader engaged.I did enjoy this book; it is one I can put down and walk away from, which from time to time is great, especially when you don’t have time to eat a book in one sitting!Nicky mentions at the end of this book there will be a few more books coming out for this series with characters from Stump River and also a few new ones – which I am eager to read.My reading order:BondedBetrayed: Days of the RogueThe MatingThe KeepingThe FindingBetrayed: Road to RedemptionOther books by NickyForever in Time

It was kinda hard for me to rate this...as a stand alone book, I'd give it 3 stars. But if I look at it as part of a series, a series I really loved, I'd give it 4 stars. This book started off as a slow read and alot of the material in my opinion, wasn't necessary. But once I got halfway through it, things started to pick up from there. The two main characters here Damien and Samantha pretty much worked my nerve throughout the book. One minute I'm Team Damien and then he'll do something that'll piss me off and next thing you know I'm Team Sam. These two had so much going on in their lives when they met, that the last thing either of them was looking for was a mate. Samantha, acting Alpha to her pack had alot on her plate. She had a mean old grumpy grandfather who kept all sorts of family secrets from her and yet expected her to be the leader of their barely there pack. As for Damien, a rogue who vowed to never love again after losing his mate, was merely doing a job for a friend, which seem easy enough, somehow managed to put him in a very difficult situation. I liked how it wasn't an instant attraction. They met because of business and they tried to keep it that way. But you can't help who you're attracted to...All in all, it was a good read. I loved that Kane and Elise were brought back in this story. It showed of how their life was going now that they have two kids and Kane is still busy running his pack as their Alpha. Their family was portaryed as your average family with their own little struggles and the two of them having to work things out. Thats what probably pushed it to 4 stars.I feel that Nicky Charles earlier books were far more enjoyable. But because I love the series and have come to know and love some of these characters, I just can't seen to walk away.

Excellent Read! If you have read Nicky's first 5 books you won't be disappointed with this one. If you haven't read them then what are you waiting for go and get them they are free. This is the first book that Nicky has charged any money for and if you ask me she should have charged for the first 5 too. If you want to pay her for her books she ask's you to donate to an animal shelter, in honor of her books. I donate to a dachshund rescue in support of Nicky and our dachshund that we adopted. In this book Nicky continues Damien's story. Damien believes he is a rogue so he takes jobs that portrays his lifestyle. He takes a job from Kane Sinclair and going undercover reporting on a wolf clan in Chicago. The pack leader is a woman (Sam) which is basically unheard of in the Lycan world. He accidentally gets into the clan as an acting beta, during which he finds out that things are not as they appear. As the plot thickens he figures out more then he thought he would. He has started to have feelings for the pack leader (Sam), he fights the temptation because he is still in love with his mate. Who is no longer with him. (Read the series, Betrayed Book 1 is the beginning of Damien's story) With all the plots and sub plots in this story Nicky brings past characters in; Kane and Elise, Reno, Dante and has added several more...I love that Nicky told us more of Kane and Elise's story because without it we would not have understood some of the ending, which is necessary for the outcome of Damien and Sam.Read the The Law of the Lycan series you won't be Disappointed! ***for mature readers only 18 yrs. and older****

Betrayed: Book Two – The Road to RedemptionBy Nicky CharlesI’ve been reading Nicky Charles’ books for a couple of years now. Picked up The Mating, The Finding, The Keeping initially because they were free. Who can resist a free book? But I was hooked after the first book! And once you’ve read one…you have to continue on and read the rest of the series. This is one of those series that you need to read from the start so that you don’t get confused with the characters and the whole thing makes sense! You’ll find out why as you continue to read the rest of the books! All six books now, including this latest one, have 5 stars from me! There’s action, suspense, romance, intrigue, subplots, angst and oh yeah……lots of alpha males to drool over! Betrayed: Book Two – The Road to Redemption is Damien’s story. As I said, you’ve got to read the previous books to understand what all Damien has gone through. Now he’s in Chicago…working as the Beta to the Chicago ‘Alpha’ who just happens to be a woman. Sam is no pushover Alpha though…she’s going to give Damien a run for his money! Lots of twists and turns and bad guys! I loved getting the little bits of the other characters from the previous books – Kane & Elise and Reno & Brandi. Though honestly I had to wonder about Kane & Elise there for a bit…..men! There are new characters in “Road” with lots of new twists and turns that you won’t see coming! Enough to keep you reading just one more page, and then just one more page, until you’re at the end of the book going....Damn it’s done?! Can’t wait to see what Nicky comes up with next!

I am a huge fan of Nicky Charles & the wait for this book has seemed interminable, but at last it’s here & it was worth the wait. This is Damion & Sam's story. Damion, if you remember, is a rogue wolf whose mate & unborn pup were killed in a fire several books back. Sam is the acting Alpha of the Chicago pack. As a rogue, Damion belongs to no pack. Since the loss of his mate he has wandered the country doing odd jobs & wreaking havoc on the Purists. He goes to Chicago to help his friend Kane Sinclair by checking out the pack there. He ends up taking the place of the rogue who is supposed to act as Sam’s Beta, figuring the best way to get info is from the inside. There is an attraction between Sam & Damion but he fights it believing he must be faithful to his dead mate.Sam, of course, doesn’t realize that Damion is an imposter & she is falling for him. She thinks he’s helping her prepare for Kane’s take-over attempt while he is actually gathering info for Kane. Meanwhile there are other factors at play that will come between the couple, besides Damion’s loyalty to his lost mate. This book has all the things all of Nicky’s books have & it is a must read. I won’t go any farther in my description of the book because I don’t want to give too much away. But if you haven’t read these books & you are a fan of werewolves you really should try them. Besides, the first 5 books in the series (The Mating, The Finding, The Keeping, Bonded, & Betrayed: Days of the Rogue) are all free, so what do you have to lose!

The Road to Redemption by Nicky CharlesBetrayed- Book TwoSam Harper is not your normal alpha, considering Sam is a female. And Kane Sinclair has decided that he wants to take over her pack. Not happening. This she-wolf has teeth and claws and plans on giving him a fight. She's not one to just roll over with her tail between her legs. Unless it's for her hunky new Beta.Damien Masterson is a rogue. We've met him in previous books. After losing his wife and child to the Purists, he was hell-bent on revenge. Even though it has been three years, Damien feels he must never forget his wife. Never love another. Easier said than done the longer he's around the spitfire alpha of the Chicago group.Kane and Elise Sinclair have some cameo's in this book as well. Their story was told in the first book of the Law of the Lycans Series, The Mating. Kane has been become an ambitious alpha. Will his need for power be stronger than the need for his wife and children?Another great addition to this series. Many other characters from previous books make appearances. And a few new characters who have stories to tell can be found lurking in the pages of this book. Nicky Charles is a master story teller when it comes to these alpha wolves and those they love. **Sexual content and languagehttp://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...

While this is the sixth book in the series you should definitely read it right after book two. In this novel Damien, a rogue Lycan, is finally forced to deal with his grief over the passing of his wife and unborn child. The author truly brings to life the five stages of grief a person goes through when losing a loved one. The emotions and struggle she writes for Damien reach out and grab hold of the reader truly connecting them with this character. The reader will find themselves anxious to turn the page following the roller coaster ride Damien takes on his trip to the final stage of acceptance.Sam, a female alpha, is the perfect partner for Damien. Although their path to love is made more difficult by her pack problems, Damien being a double agent and the death of his wife, she handles everything thrown at her spectacularly. It was so refreshing to see such a strong female character in a romance type novel. While Sam was reluctant to show her softer side and let someone in she does it with such grace. There is no whining or waffling often seen in female lead characters. Sam stands by her pack, family and man no matter what. Besides, who doesn't like a female that isn't afraid to kick butt and take names? These two characters come together in an action packed, emotionally charged story that one simply must read.

This book is so good I go to sleep and dream I'm part of the story! My mind just doesn't seem to want to let go. I just love Nicky Charles. She has created a fascinating world that's so vivid! It's easy to imagine everything that's happening with each character. Love this book! There's nothing better than a story that can make you feel the emotions of the character. Well, Nicky you had me crying like a baby and snotting all over myself. Unfortunately for me, I was reading on my patio. I hope my neighbors didn't see. They may think I'm a tad more crazier than I am. Wiping at my face and muttering at my kindle. I guess better the neighbors see than having me read this at my doctors office. Can you imagine? The Dr. walking in with me crying my eyes out, muttering and sniffling, staring at my kindle. The concern that would be on the Dr.'s face? Leaving me to explain. "It's a...a...good BOOOOK!" I would be committed on the spot. So in other words, thanks Nicky, thanks for making me feel like a crazy psycho in front of my neighbors and having worries that my Dr. might one day have me locked up if I don't keep my emotions in check. You're an awesome writer! I can't wait for your next book!

I sat with baited breath waiting for my copy to be sent to my kindle!! I couldn't wait to get into the story and find out what Damien was up to. I was not disappointed. You know that feeling when someone interrupts you while your reading and you get angry and send them packing? Well that is how I felt, life interrupted my reading and I didn't appreciate it at all. Sam and Damien are an explosive couple! In some senses they reminded me of my relationship with my husband. Whether that was the reason I found this book the best yet I don't know. However, this is what Nicky does, she gives us characters that we can believe in. They way Nicky uses characters we have come to love and adds them into a new story with new characters is outstanding. When Reno showed up I yelled out loud and caused a lot of funny looks from my family. Again Nicky brings real life issues into her book and shows us that solutions are out there if we look hard enough. I don't think I can stand the wait for the next book!! Nicky Charles is one of my favourite authors. Please take time to check her work out. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I've fallen in love with this series and the variety of characters Nicky Charles has created. This was a great resolution for Damien's broken and tragic past. Hearing about characters from previous books was an added plus. I thoroughly enjoyed Sam and her 'spitfire' ways. She's a perfect fit for both the story and the werewolf! I don't think I could've liked her if she had been too much like Beth. Reno Smith is one of my all time favorite characters, but I'll always have a major soft spot for Damien. Seeing Damien come full circle over three books was well worth the time and investment. As I have in the past, I couldn't put my reader down. I was too eager to see how things fell into place and resolved...which they did...very nicely...with both tears and smiles! Bravo, Nicky! Sending happy vibes to keep your muse cooperative so we see more and more!

I have to say I have been a huge fan of Damien since his character first appeared in Nicky Charles' books. I feel in love with him immediately and have enjoyed following his character through all his highs and lows. Betrayed: Book 2 - The Road to Redemption was on my To Be Read list for quiet some time and I was so excited when it was finally released. A whole book for Damien, how could I not be thrilled! And Nicky delivered! This book was face paced, humorous, emotional, and hot! I couldn't get enough and, if you've been reading this series and are as big a fan of it as I am, then I know you'll love it too. Betrayed: Book 2 was a great addition to an already fantastic series and I honestly can't wait to see what the author comes up with next. I definitely recommend this book, and the series in general, to everyone!!
