This is my first time having the pleasure of reading a book penned by Ms. Lockley, and it certainly won't be the last. Seasoned with Grace was well-written, flowed seamlessly, and was full of beautiful life lessons. The story follows Grace King, supermodel extraordinaire, as she continuously lives up to her bad girl, diva image. As the story progresses, Lockley peels back the layers of this complicated and sometimes unlikable character's life, revealing the roots of her actions. Writing about fictional celebrities and their lifestyles is tricky, but where others can be heavy-handed with name and brand dropping, Lockley ushers us into the world of the rich and famous effortlessly. We actually feel like a fly on the wall as the story unfolds. This was a wonderful story, a must-read for lovers of Christian Fiction and those who believe in redemption and hope.5 StarsAdrienne ThompsonAuthor of the Bluesday Series

God Will Take Nothing and Bring About SomethingGrace King is a supermodel with a lot of troubles, past issues, and hidden secrets. Messed up and in need of direction, Grace finds herself sentenced to probation and about to embark on a life altering experience in the unlikely of places - church! Nigeria Lockley’s “Seasoned with Grace” was a pretty good read. I, however, at times felt the novel moved a little slow, affecting my overall rating. The message was definitely there: God seasons our life with grace.Reviewed by: Lisa M.3.5 stars

Nicely written easy read. Grace was quite a character as more information was given about her throughout the chapters. I liked the fact she had positive friends that truly had her best interest at heart, even when she didn't. Good read

Honestly, I did not know what to expect since this is the first book I’ve read by this author. Yet, I found myself hurrying home from work just to see what would happen next in the story. I really enjoyed and highly recommend Seasoned with Grace.Grace King, by all accounts, is a beautiful party girl model; her self-perceived righteousness seems to keep getting her in trouble time and time again. After a night of drinking and partying, the paparazzi has once again caught Grace in a compromising position. Although she has never made her love for whiskey and sexy men a secret, her actions wreak havoc on her image as a super model. Grace, like so many woman before her, is carrying around toxic baggage that has managed to permeate every area of her life. The pain manifests itself in so many ways that it causes a slow, simmmering rage to burn deeply within her. Can Grace recognize that God’s love transcends any sin before it is too late?Ethan is not only Grace’s attorney but also her unwitting babysitter. So much of his life is intertwined with hers, it could very well cost him the love of his life.Pastor David, an anointed man of God, has a history with Grace. Growing up, his future as a pastor was essentially a given, that is, until his love for Grace causes him to compromise it all. Will he stay and see her through, or will he allow his family to erase all traces of his folly?Horace realizes that Grace may be the one for him, but is he willing to take a chance on a broken, and damaged woman? You’ve got to read this novel to find out for yourself.-Reviewed by Cassandra

Headline: Keep an angel at the doorway of your mouthI find it interesting that our words can be seasoned with salt (grace) in a good way and a detrimental way. For example sometimes the way we say things can kill a person rather than bring life. I'm still learning this lesson it wasn't until reading Grace' story and being so angry at her weakness' that I realized myself in her story. Why or better yet how could she allow words to break her. I kept screaming man up! It wasn't until we are introduced to Brother Horace that I realized what I needed to understand Grace' issue, it was grace. Brother Horace' words was the fertilizer that was to bring Grace life. But before that balance manifested in my reading mind I was happy being angry at Grace and Ethan because I thought they were idiots. Both had what they needed all along but neither was walking in their truth. Lockley has once again uncovered emotions in me that caused a conflict, she did the same thing with her debut Born at Dawn, two excellent stories.

Grace is one of those characters that you love to hate. At least in the beginning. She’s vain, selfish, abrasive and a real piece of work. Grace is the type of woman you wouldn’t want to leave your man around. But once you find out why she’s the way she is, you find yourself rooting for her to come out on top, despite her obnoxious attitude.Like the main character’s name and the title of the book, grace is a paramount theme in this novel. Grace is surrounded by supportive characters that show her exactly what her name means, whether it be through tough love, protecting her reputation (what she has left of it) or standing with her once her full story comes to light. All of the characters are flawed in some way, which in my opinion makes them more believable. I’m a sucker to Christian Fiction that dares to tell the ugly truth, and Seasoned with Grace does not disappoint!

This is my second book by Nigeria Lockley (Born at Dawn) and Seasoned with Grace lived up to my expectations. In this book, the author takes you into the roller coaster world of top model, Grace King - a troubled young woman whose past has her spiraling on a destructive path. She finds herself surrounded by people who in their own way are as flawed as she is except they have discovered that healing and restoration which comes from a loving God. Emotionally charged and dramatically fulfilling....this is a must read for all lovers of Christian fiction. Just as in her first book, Ms. Lockley demonstrates that "we can do all things through Christ" and that there is nothing too hard for God to work out if we just hold onto to our faith. Congratulations, Nigeria Lockley!

What an amazing book. I don't know where to begin. Seasoned with Grace lived up to its name. Because it took you on a journey of Grace King deliverance and being restored from everything she had the past. through meet new people and reconnecting with those of her past we was able to forgive and receive forgiveness from God. Seasoned with Grace reminds you of the importance of keeping your faith in God no matter what you maybe going through. I experienced so many emotions while reading this book. I laughed, cried, got mad, and prayed as I read the prayers listed. I highly recommend this book for everyone.LaToya MurchisonAuthor of A Praying HeartI received and ARC copy of Seasoned with Grace

Grace is not a nice person and she's super tough to like, but as you learn more about her you realize: she is managing YEARS of wounds dealt by loved ones the best way she knows how. Grace's story shows how God will take a mess and make a message if we let Him and I LOVE the ending. The author did that (in an unexpected way)! The downside for me is that I didn't love Grace as much as I loved Cynthia--the lead character--in Born at Dawn, the author's debut novel. But this book too is a page-turner and as I said before, I was THRILLED with the ending.
