Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian.I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.Elizabeth had a path set out for her to lead a successful and finally set life. Unfortunately, her heart had other ideas. Marcelo has a bright future ahead of him working for Elizabeth’s father. They have had a chance at love before and it wasn’t allowed. Can love withstand all the tests of time? This book unfortunately failed to grasp or hold my attention for any length of time. The story line could have been incredible with a bit more oomph. The way that scenes changed from one to next seemed choppy at times and required me to back up reading what I just had read to realize the scene had changed. The author wrote the scenes in great detail, I was able to picture them as I read them. I didn’t find myself experiencing the range of emotions that maybe I should have to match the characters in this story. Sadly, I didn’t enjoy this book.I don’t believe that this author is a bad writer by any means, this story simply didn’t grasp my attention. There was something lacking in the story that I needed but it’s something I can’t really explain or put into words. There was some mystery behind Kaitlin and Marcelo but the story behind that mystery was so drawn out that for me it was hard to follow.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review. The story of Kaitlin and Marcelo is very confusing. You don't really get to understand things until the end of the book. It has lots of intrigue and romance but just not my kind of book. The book is definitely for 18+.

THE HUNTRESS is an emotional whirlwind of a romance that takes place in the shadows of secretive and mysterious organizations.Kaitlin Hawthorne decides she is in need of some freedom from her wealthy family and current lover. She disagrees with how her father runs his company and has an overwhelming urge to break free from her current relationship. While Kaitlin is seeking independence, she also wants the company of her best friend, her father's protégé, Marcelo Alesi. Marcelo has been in love with Kaitlin since they met as children but the circumstances never seemed right for them to be together. When Kaitlin comes to him and asks him to run away with her, he can't refuse. Their adventures are many and widespread and their relationship is steamy but tumultuous. They both want something more but neither is willing to voice their true desires. Will they learn to be honest with one another before it's too late?It took a few chapters for me to get hooked by this story, but once I did, I became very engaged in the plot and the characters and found myself wanting to keep turning pages in order to reveal the secrets and find the happy ending. I was very uncertain throughout most of the story about the likability of any of the characters. Ms. Davis did a great job showing each character's flaws, but just when you think a character has no positive attributes, you are shown a softer and more vulnerable side of them. Each and every character had a struggle or challenge they had to overcome before they were able to find happiness. Marcelo won't voice his true feelings because he is scared they won't be reciprocated and Kaitlin is fearful of her attraction to Marcelo because she fears he is too driven and will always choose work over love. As a reader I was frustrated and excited and worried all at the same time during most parts of this book. The one plot point that distracted me a bit was the secret organizations that everyone was a part of. This part of the story was a little too mysterious in my opinion. I did like that Kaitlin had a secret identity that was tasked with helping others find their happily ever after when she was so fiercely denying that for herself. I simply enjoyed the journey and the growth everyone experienced, especially once people just started communicating and being honest with one another. Kaitlin, her parents, her ex, and Marcelo all had well developed stories that centered around secrets and honesty. This was a very enjoyable book.I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.Reviewed at The Romance Reviews

One wild ride!Let me catch my breath and try to tell you what an exciting book this is. The characters jumped off the page and into my heart and mind. Two people wildly in love but holding back from commitment. Each one thinks they are waiting for the right time. Frustrated, I kept reading faster, hoping they would declare their love. But family, an ex lover and doubts make for a hard journey. Just when Kaitlen is ready to share how she feels, Marcelo has disappeared. A secret society, could put them in jeopardy. Can these two soul mates find each other and solve the mystery they find themselves in? I was held spellbound by all the twists and turns, intense love and beautiful sex all blending together to make one hell of a story. It feels like an epic adventure. I loved it!!! So it will come as no surprise that I MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Huntress.

I received a copy of this book free for an honest review. This book was very different from what I would normally read. The main characters were frustrating both wanting the same things in their relationship but neither would admit it. I enjoyed reading this book but it did take me a few chapters to really get the feel of the book but by the end I was smiling and i want to read it again!!I give this book 4

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I enjoy a story where there is a strong female character. So many stories I have read present the female character as a damsel in distress. Kaitlin is a take charge type of individual. This at times creates conflict with her family but she always sticks with her intuition. In order to find out more you must read this story.

Looking for loveThis story has a bit of a disconnected start, but it is engaging once the story gets going. Espionage involving the Order and love that bears the test of time. Amazing that the love they desired was there all along. They just had to trust and take a chance!
