I’m told he has a secret, and that I’m its subject. And someone else has a secret, too — from our mystery man, and god help us if he learns it. Everyone is loyal to something or someone in this place — though it’s seldom what it seems. I don’t know who’s with me and who’s against me — if I’ll go home with my new protector … or be kept here forever. I couldn’t possibly be what Eros has combed the world for … can I? ...

2.5 to 3 stars.CONTAINS SPOILERS.While the reviews for this book/series have been excellent I've struggled a lot with the main character Bridget, I just never really connected with her which made it difficult to fully enjoy the story.I've read that she's human and flawed and this is true but I like my female leads to be intelligent not necessarily book smart but not stupid and as Bridget said herself in the previous book"I’m the stupidest person here —apparently by far."Now while this is true she makes a very human mistake in this book when she mentions peanut butter, "I haven’t seen peanut butter since I mentioned once that I was allergic,” This is a slip almost anyone could make and that's fine but, and this is the annoying part it comes a couple of pages after this...'We can’t discuss details at this table because the risk of deleting too much from Halo and attracting attention is too great so close to the finish.'So we know as soon as she mentions peanut butter what she's done but she doesn't at all, not only does she not realise but even when Jess starts to explain she's no idea, Jess continues to explain in minute detail and she still doesn't get it. I mean seriously she knows they're deleting footage. This scene was not only tedious but painful to read because she can't be that stupid which means the detailed explanation was for us the reader, we're not that stupid either we knew as soon as the words left her mouth. It may seem like such a small thing but remember Bridget has annoyed me from the start and the peanut butter was just too much.I've more or less liked Daniel throughout the series, even when he was acting strange and he'd say "it's complicated" way too many times for my liking but then usually he was talking to Bridget so I'll let him off but, and again I can see that sometimes you can be so focused you lose sight of the whole picture but to put himself in the position he was in where he could end up losing everything, how did he get into that position in the first place? It's safe to say I didn't enjoy this series anywhere near as much as most people and if I'm being honest I should have just quit after the first book, it's always a bad sign when I find the main character annoying but I just felt there was something here and so I continued on but I couldn't get past Bridget and after the peanut butter scene this book was ruined for me.

I was impatiently awaiting the conclusion of Bridget & Daniel’s book, there were so many questions that remained unanswered and after the end of book three, I could not wait to find out what in the fuck was going to happen. So we’ve pretty much experienced a ton of ups and downs so far through this series. We’ve refrained from offering our trust to any one of the characters, just waiting for the other shoe to drop. To find out what everyone really means when they say, “it’s complicated.” Well that time is here. Complete spoiler free review, so if you wanna know how it ends. Read the damn book ;)I enjoyed this edgier side to the writing of Aubrey Parker. I think I tend to lean more towards that direction when it comes to romances in general. A love story is great, but toss in suspense and a little mystery and this reader just gets lost in the story. This story was a bit more technical than I’m used to, but it really was required for the story to make sense. I couldn’t help but start to wonder what my reaction would be if placed in a similar situation. Would society’s rules still survive in the house? Would be closed off be the perfect excuse to give in? And that is one thing that this series did, besides entertain – it made you wonder and question your own reactions while you read it. As a reader, I love two things about reading. One, the way a story makes you feel and second, the way it makes you think. Overall, I enjoyed this series and am intrigued by the announcement of what is up next.

Burning Ultimatum (the conclusion to the Trevor’s Harem series) did not disappoint! I’ve been eagerly anticipating each installment and I was on the edge of my seat for the conclusion. This series is a unique story with a bit of a science-geek twist. (Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a science-geek to follow along). There is plenty of romance and sizzling sex too! I think I have to accept that I’m now officially an “Aubrey Vole” (be sure to read the “Stuff That You Should Know” at the end of the book to understand that). I’ll be stalking Aubrey’s FB page and/or Amazon for the release of “Gagged.” Now stop reading reviews and go get these books!

I couldn't wait to see what happens next from the ending of book 3 I was dying to know exactly what Daniel was up to. Bridget is crushed by what Daniel & Jessica did to her and I'm so happy what happened to Kylie. When Caspian White decides to stop by it puts everyone on edge. Love how Daniel & Bridget were together and I don't think it could have ended any other way. Such an amazing series that you won't want to put down

I enjoyed this unique, mindful series. I really enjoyed Bridget's character in the beginning, when she was headstrong and feisty. She lost a little bit of that along the way, and I wish she would've been a bit smarter in the middle 2 books, but otherwise very good.

I loved this series, very scientific, nerdy and suspenseful...but all in all a phenomenal love story. So many secrets, so many surprises, but just like all good suspense novels even though the alpha hero seems to have lost it all, a new piece of info/evidence comes to light and the villain's plans are blown to bits and all becomes right in the world for our heroes. How's that for nerd-speak Aubrey Parker! There are so many layers to this story and I know we're going to get more books with these characters and more great stories...I'm glad I decided to take this journey.

Great ending to this series. Everything gets wrapped up and there’s a HEA. I liked the science in the book, and that it wasn’t over the top about it. I found this series to be more suspense/mystery than erotica. I didn’t get really turned on, but I couldn’t wait to find out what HALO really was and the ultimate goal.

This one lost my interest a bit. I feel like it just drug on forever. And then the turn out that was kind of so hyped up wasn’t really anything. Kind of disappointed with the ending.

http://a-reader-lives-a-thousand-live...Previous reviews in the series: Burning Rivalry, Burning Offer, Burning ChoiceTitle: Burning Ultimatum Series: Trevor's Harem (#4) Author: Aubrey Parker From: Amazon Genre: Romance Release Date: 15th March 2016Challenges: 2016 Read the Books You Buy, 2016 New Release Challenge, 2016 Prequel & Sequel Challenge (12 points) Links: Goodreads - Amazon*May contain spoilers for the rest of the series*Feeling betrayed after finding the man she loves with the woman she thought was her best friend, Bridget feels more determined than ever to win the contest even if she doesn't know the rules. Daniel has done everything possible for Bridget and yet he can't tell her, even if it would clear his name. But as more players become involved it becomes a challenge to keep everything straight. I was struggling to think of a way to properly express my love of this series and then it hit me. So this book has been on pre-order since before my whole Lent Book Buying Embargo and got delivered to my kindle today (15th March). I'd finished it by 11:30am. That's how engaging and captivating the story is. I even left a book half finished to read it! I think that about sums it up! The ending to this book, and the series was perfect. And by ending I mean before the epilogue (because that was just the icing on the cake!) However the ending wasn't quite what I expected. It had more of the sweet factor than originally thought and yet it worked perfectly for Bridget and Daniel. Actually the whole thing took me a bit by surprise. From the first book onwards this series has been taking me by surprise and this one was no different. In some ways parts of the plot are a little predictable but Parker does them in such a way that it goes hand in hand with the unexpected and keeps the reader on their toes. I love Bridget. And I think the reason I like her so much is because she is flawed. She's not the perfect female character, she doesn't fit the mould, but that makes her that bit more real. Her feelings and her reactions all come across as genuine and I think as a female reader you can slot yourself into her shoes easily. Daniel has really grown on me throughout the series. At the end of the last book I was almost certain that what Bridget thought was true actually wasn't and that was solely based on what I thought of Daniel. And this book proved me right. Again he's not the perfect character but it's his flaws that make him loveable. I loved how Parker included Science, particularly psychology, in her book and how it was through Daniel that she did this. I also loved the fact that she took the time to inform the reader of exactly what was real at the end of the book and what was exaggerated ever so slightly to make a good story. I thought the afterward really helped in that regard. I loved this series. And I hope to read more from Parker soon!

BURNING ULTIMATUM is the final novella in a four-part serial that I read back to back. I really wanted to like this series and I kept giving it the benefit of the doubt, but the only emotion I’m feeling two weeks after finishing it is frustrated.Starting with BURNING OFFER, I didn’t understand what was going on but I was intrigued enough to continue with the series. BURNING RIVALRY and BURNING CHOICE were similar, in that I still didn’t understand anything, but I was still intrigued even as I was getting frustrated. I truly hoped that BURNING ULTIMATUM would explain everything. That there’d be this lightbulb moment where suddenly everything from the first three books would make sense. Either I missed a chapter or two that explained everything, or I’m just too stupid to understand, but I still don’t get what the point of this story was. Right from the start I felt as though I was missing something, and that feeling never went away for me.This entire series has amazing ratings and reviews on both Amazon and Goodreads, so obviously a lot of people are loving it, but unfortunately I just can’t give it the same love. If you love books with hidden agendas, backstabbing, ulterior motives, mind games and corporate takeovers, this one will be right up your alley. For more reviews, please visit our website: www.romancebetweenthesheets.com

**ARC received by author in exchange for honest review**This book definitely had me on my toes. I keep asking myself, "What is going to happen next?" as I flipped the one page to the next and I just couldn't get enough of this book. It kept me up all night and I had a 8am study group. So thanks Audrey. You're fantastic at this. Aubrey knows how to keep her readers up until 2 in the morning, asking... No begging for more. I absolutely love Brigit. Though, there were parts in the book where I didn't favor her or her actions. But she still rose above them all. My heart melted as everything unfolded. I want Daniel. I'll take him and hide him away in my room and just hope that everything that he does to Brigit to me. Whoops, just revealed a secret. Well it is no secret that I want to have him under my book boyfriends. Not only is this book hot and steamy. It is every girl's fantasy. But after this book, I also fell in love with Trevor as well.. There is an underlying factor of just falling in love with the characters. I definitely ugly cried so prepare yourselves and make sure you 1-Click this book.

5 Whoa! Did not see that coming, stars! There have been so many twist and turns and craziness in this whole story and finally everything starts to make sense. I can say in all honesty this book kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing until the very end. Daniel and Bridget are two characters I won't soon forget. Their journey has been quite a ride and I enjoyed every minute of it. I don't want to spoil anything so I'm keeping my review vague. But, I will say, again, this is one of the most original plots I have ever read in romance. And it makes you really think about human sexuality, and what drives us to do what we do, to choose who we choose. Is it just chemistry? How much does love play into the equation? How much does environment dictate our choices? How much does our past experiences effect us? Will science ever really figure out the workings of the human heart? I can't say it enough, I really enjoyed this series. It is refreshingly different from anything else I have ever read and I am very much looking forward to what Aubrey has in store for us next!

The last book of this series. I will miss Daniel and Bridget. I am so happy that in this particular case, the say "appearances are deceiving" was true. The end of the 3rd book had me a little bit disappointed regarding Daniel but I am relieved to be proved wrong. I had so many questions from the very first book and which one of them I read, I added more and more. Finally I got my answers and let me tell you..all the tension, all the mind games, all the "it doesn't make sense" whines.. it was totally worth it.,now that we were enlightened :))) You know how they say that you need to be at the bottom to be able to fight for your way back at the top?? I think this book and the whole series demonstrates that perfectly. Both main characters were at their lowest at some point but they found a way to find themselves, to trust each other, to hope..and all that through love. I really recommend it!! Enjoy it guys!!P.S I loved your nerdy side, Aubrey!! Not bad at all. Let it come out now and then!! xo*I have received this book as an ARC in change of an honest review.

This is the of amazing conclusion of Trevor's Harem Series, which as I expected did not disappoint! In my opinion, Aubrey Parker has a unique and original way with words when writing her stories. I've been hook to her writing style since her very first series, and as I've arrived the conclusion of her second series, I have to admit that I'm more addicted than what I expected. Bridget & Daniel’s story was a freaking rollercoaster of emotions throughout the entire series, and Oh boy, what a ride. I stated my honest opinion on each book, letting my emotions take over and speak my mind, which I'm glad is a statement of how wrong I was when trying to make my own conclusions. Well Ms Parker, you're Brilliant! This series has it all, including one hot sizzling passionate romance, and I highly recommend it!ARC courtesy of the Author in exchange for my honest review, but as always, I did pre-ordered my own copy.

What a great conclusion to the series! This series wasn’t what I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot. This part was my second favorite part of the series. After the ending of Burning Choice, I wanted to read this book as soon as possible. That ending made me question everything I thought I knew. Bridget has proven again that she’s a strong woman. She knows what she wants. I’m so glad she got her happily ever after and I absolutely loved the epilogue! Daniel wants Bridget and will fight for her. There were a few twists and turns that kept me reading. We know who wins the contest. I liked Trevor. He’s nice and sweet. Caspian finally visits the house. I’m intrigued by him I want to know who tames him. I can’t wait for his book.-- ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! --

A Review of Burning Ultimatum (Trevor's Harem, Book #4) by Aubrey ParkerThe exciting conclusion - 5 starsWith the end of the contest fast approaching, Bridget is furious at Daniel, Jessica and Kylie. Since Bridget is refusing to pack it in and call it done, Kylie tries one more time to best her by leaking the information regarding Bridget's birth mother and sister. And, now that Caspian has come to play, it looks like all hell is about to break loose. Daniel and Jessica keep trying to tell her things are not as they seem, but Bridget is beyond peeved and so jealous that she doesn't know who to trust or what to think. You will definitely want to get your hands on this one, especially if you have read the other three books in the series. This one is well worth the time it took to get here and the ending will give you everything you want and more. **Borrowed from Kindle Unlimited**

I was gifted and Arc by the author in return for an honest review.**************************************************Thats it im done......just Plop!!How does Parker do it??...it just went right off the star scale there. This book was freaking fantastic.I've absolutely loved every part of the Burning Series but this wasit for me.....just wow!As we head into the final and unexpected complication turns up and starts making things very complicated.Frustrations run high in this read as to whether Daniel and Bridgetcan make it through. It all comes down to two choices ---> Daniel or Trevor......EEEEEK!Daniel has his own battles this time around, can he make it work orhas everything he worked for and built been lost.It was truly exciting to read and im glad i had the opportunity.

Oh man that wasn't what I was expecting at all. I loved this series. Aubrey Parker does an amazing job of taking you on a journey of twists and turns you don't see coming which is refreshing. These books are filled with suspense, love, loyalty and HOT sex. I love that Bridget is a strong women and sticks to what she believes in. There is nothing better than reading about strong women who don't bend so much they break. It was kinda hard to live Daniel until that moment where you just did and you didn't realise it had happened. He's not the most loveable bloke but I guess that's why we have Trever. You so badly want Daniel to be like Trever until you realise hey now back the truck up when did that happen I'm actually rooting for him. I guess that's the genius of a wonderful story teller like Aubrey.

Wow what a tangled web Eros's or should I say the board was weaving........yikes I don't even know where to start. This was a great ending to this series. I loved that this last book made you think and try to unravel the prices of this mystery. Daniel got way more then her bargained for when he brought Bridget back into his life. These two make the best couple....they challenge each other at every turn......Bridget does't let anyone tell her what to do, what to think, and what to feel. They stuck together when it counted. I mean and the hot, passionate, dirty, things they did to each other did not hurt either.....lol. This series is a must read.

ExcellentWhile I have to say I really like your series and love the characters I like the fact that you're explaining slightly what is humans as male and female go through . Especially through our brain , I found it very interesting learning about science through the brain . I found it very interesting knowing sometimes how our brain works and where I haven't known that when I was at school q . And I thank you for that . Also would like to say that you gave David Bowie a little bit of respect of mentioning him in one of your books. That was very honoured of you .

Happy Ending? I'd say so! That was awesome! Personally? I so would have just killed the skanky, conniving, vindictive, little.....yeah. No one messes with my family but me, she went way to far and I'm just happy to see that she got hers. Of course then there's that backstabbing, money grubbing, pain in the rear Welty that had to be dealt with. This was absolutely the best ending I could have hoped for. Thanks for an amazing series!

Holy crap Batman! This was an intriguing story... I consider myself to be fairly intelligent... or so I thought, Several times I had to re-read parts due to the serious mind altering head games and experimenting that was going on in this cryptic mansion/ laboratory... the backdrop with the sexual exploration is a amazing twist. This is a great read , kept me interested and had me pondering things!

This entire series was different, well written, sexy, and hot ;) I loved it.The end surprised me, but there was a certain "secret" that I kind of already knew. That was not a surprise too me. I still couldn't put it down, loved every single page. I found a new favorite author :)
