Von Rad's treatment of the prophets, in this second volume of his Old Testament Theology, is enough to earn a five star rating. But what makes this book so special is the final part in which he explores the relationship of the Old Testament to the New. With critical insight, attention is drawn to the problems of viewing the Old Testament within the constricted framework of a single theology and prefers to see it through the prism of promise-fulfillment. Implications are drawn based on this conclusion.

one of those books, that when you reach the end, without even realizing it, you want to believe that this must be an error. Just love itMiguel
